Zoe Tait, a 5th Year pupil at Johnstone High School, has landed a spot performing at one of Scotland’s most prominent music festivals, Party at the Palace in Linlithgow.
Zoe has continued to build on the success of her self-written debut EP ‘The Ladybugg’ and has been working tirelessly to promote and perform her material at radio stations including Pulse, Camglen, Black Diamond and Radio Saltire. In addition she has performed live at Glasgow’s famous Classic Grand venue as well as gigging in the local area.
Studying for five Highers this session, we are hugely proud of Zoe’s dedication to her work both in and out of school and she has been able to reap the benefits and transfer some of her subject skills into her music.
“Studying music at school has really helped me improve my confidence and Miss Keenan (Zoe’s music teacher) has been a big supporter of my music and has come to see me perform live,” Zoe said. “I also really enjoy English and this has helped to develop my song writing”.
Zoe will be preparing for her slot in the acoustic tent at Party at the Palace with a series of local gigs, including Paisley Food Festival on the 12th of May. She is also working on her follow up EP and expects to release it later this year.
