The school library service plan to put in place a new school library management system this session. The system will have an online presence and will allow pupils and teachers to check the online school library catalogue and reserve and renew books. It will also be integrated with the public library system and all pupils will receive a single library card which they can use in both the school and public library. Public library membership will give pupils free access to a range of online resources through the Renfrewshire Libraries website.
The library service will provide schools with letters (please see attached) to go out to parent to inform them of this.
The library service will be working on getting the new system live at the start of next term. There may be some slight delays for library users in borrowing or reserving books before it goes live, but the library service will do their best to keep any disruption to a minimum.
