Activities Day 2025 – Important Information for Parents and Carers

Please see the information below:

We are very much looking forward to our annual Activities Day, taking place this Thursday, 26th June 2025. This is a highlight of the school year, offering pupils a wide range of experiences both in and out of school.

Please take a moment to read the key information below to ensure your child is fully prepared for the day.

1. Pupils Attending Trips

A number of our young people have signed up to attend trips off school premises on Activities Day.
All pupils attending a trip will receive detailed information directly from their trip leader, including:

  • Departure and return times
  • Meeting points
  • Clothing requirements
  • Any lunch or money arrangements

It is essential that you and your child are familiar with this information in advance of Thursday 26th June to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all. If your child is unable to attend the trip for whatever reason, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

2. In-School Activities

Many pupils have chosen to take part in a variety of in-school activities, which are organised into three blocks throughout the day:

  • Morning Block (08:50am – 10:30am)
  • Middle Block (10:45am – 13:15pm)
  • Afternoon Block (14:00pm – 15:40pm)

Pupils have been given the opportunity to sign up for different activities for each block and will be registered at the start of each block accordingly.

Start and End of the School Day:
This is a normal school day, starting at 8:45am and finishing at 3:40pm. Pupils should arrive at school on time as usual.

Dress Code:
Pupils may wear their own comfortable clothes suitable for the activities they are taking part in.

3. Registration Procedures

To ensure pupil safety and meet safeguarding requirements, registration will take place at the start of each activity block:

  • Pupils who have pre-selected activities will go to the Assembly Hall and register with their Activity Block Leader.
  • Pupils who have not pre-selected activities must go to the Canteen and register with the relevant staff member based on their year group and house. A full list of names and instructions will be available on the day to guide them.

We ask for your support in reminding your child of these arrangements, and the importance of registering correctly at the start of each activity session.

We are confident that Activities Day 2025 will be an enjoyable and memorable experience for all our young people, and we thank you for your continued support in helping us to make it a success.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

Kind regards,

Julia Falconer
