Applications for free school meals and clothing grants for school session 2022/2023 are now open.
You should apply for free school meals and a clothing grant if you are on a low income and receive a qualifying benefit.
We also make payments in lieu of free school meals during school holidays (spring, summer, October and Christmas). You can only get these if you have applied for free school meals.
If you apply for a clothing grant by Friday 15 July and include all the required supporting documentation, then the council will be able to process your application and make a payment to you before the start of the new school term.
