Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025

On Wednesday 28th May we recognised Menstrual Hygiene Day at JHS, by raising awareness of period poverty and to try to break the stigma about periods.

At breaktime there was a bake sale with some period trivia and free period products. At lunch, there were affirmation bracelets that could be bought for a donation, guess the number of sweets, face paint, and some more free period products.

All donations will go to a charity called The Menstrual Health Project, which is a charity that works to provide better healthcare for women and girls, while also removing stigma around periods.

The activities were organised and managed by three of our pupils, Mirin, Nicole and Kristin, who also gave a presentation to staff at the end of the day.
